Jehovah’s Witnesses’ worldwide activities are supported by donations from members and others who feel inclined to give off their hard-earned cash to a religion who provides no transparency as to how exactly those funds are used.

Shouldn’t an organization that claims to be “God’s organization” be completely transparent with how their members money is being used? For example, how much money is used for the financing of assemblies and conventions? Why is there a real push for donations while properties in Brooklyn, New York are selling for hundreds of millions of dollars?  What percentage of worldwide funds are used for humanitarian activities? How much money does Watch Tower have? These and other questions relating to funds are not being answered.

The Watch Tower likes to use verses in 1 Chronicles chapters 28 & 29 to encourage members to donate. These scriptures in the bible provide the example of King David asking for money and the Israelites willingly giving. The promise David made is that the money would be used to build a great temple to honor God. How was that money used? Well, David didn’t live to build the temple. God punished him for the blood he shed and so Solomon built the temple. He started to build it 4 years after the death of his father. He forced 183,850 men to build it. As to how the money was used, it’s all detailed in 1 Kings chapters 5 & 6 and 2 Chronicles chapters 2 & 3. The transparency with regard to donations used in the bible are in stark contrast to how donations are used within “God’s organization” today.
